For decades, Hunter’s Lodge was a direct neighbor to a wonderful summer camp called “Eagle’s Nest Camp.” Both Hunter’s Lodge and Eagle’s Nest Camp shared times of joy, laughter and good cheer with each other for generations. Times have changed of course, Eagle’s Nest Camp closed in 1979 and Hunter’s Lodge is now under new ownership and is fully restored and open again. As a result, the old campers and staff of Eagle’s Nest are bound to be seen now and then in the restaurant or bar reminiscing their summer days as kids.
Those “kids” are now all grown up, and they’re finally reuniting one by one and are able to revisit Eagle’s Nest Camp online in a virtual tour of days gone by at www.eaglesnestcamp.net.
Because half the fun of camp was the anticipation of camp, the camp’s website closes during the winter months to replicate that anticipation. And in that time campers are redirected to “Hunter’s Lodge” online to enjoy a themed virtual environment in winter. In this case, a virtual visit to the lodge with “live music,” pictures of camp on the walls and more.
Though ENC and Hunter’s Lodge are sister sites, having literally been sister locations and friends for so many decades, we reserved the Hunter’s Lodge website domain to be intended for the the actual restaurant/bar once all was restored and then open for business.
That day has come. Hunter’s Lodge is now open again for business, but the “Hunter’s Lodge experience” is still very much with us.
That said, join us – both Hunter’s Lodge and Eagle’s Nest Camp for a virtual winter sojourn of interactivity. All the links are “hidden” so have some fun clicking around! hunterslodge.eaglesnestcamp.net
And be sure to have your volume up and your festivities on!
